Flutes and Friends

Profile: Karen Anson

Nickname: Kaz

Year Joined the Band: 1999

Biography: Karen plays the flute and saxophone and would like to learn the piano.
Karen works in a preschool and is studying as a distance student at New England University, to become a Primary school teacher.

Hobbies: Her hobbies include reading, jigsaw puzzles, doing cross stitch and longstitch patterns.

Ambitions: Karen would like to become a teacher, be happy, financial and to improve her flute playing to a standard that she is happy with.

Favourite Band Moment: When she passed her senior band audition and then won the Learner novice section in last years band solo competition on saxophone (sacrilege!!)

Dislikes: Nosey and interfering people and studying

Why the Flute is the best instrument: It has the best sound and is the easiest instrument to play because you don't have to worry about any reeds, odd shaped mouth pieces.
