their members from the Senior Concert Band.
- An intending member with previous training and experience may be
assessed by audition and placed into what is considered an appropriate

- Members do not gain automatic promotion into the next higher
level at the end of the year. It is only granted to those members who,
through regular attendance to practices and improvement in playing
ability, have demonstrated their readiness for promotion.
- Regular attendance at “practices” and “playouts” is essential
if the Band is to maintain a steady rate of improvement.
- Since the Band participates in many Civic functions, activities
and contests, a high standard of behavior and appearance is expected at
all times. For members to attend, the full uniform (Summer, Winter,
Evening or March) MUST be worn at these “playouts”.
- The Band is supported financially by the Band Auxiliary which
is made up of wives, husbands, parents etc of members. Several times a
year the Auxiliary runs raffles and holds street stalls. Your support
with these fundraising activities will assist the Band greatly.
- Occasionally social activities are organised by the Band and the
Auxiliary and play a part in bringing the Band’s families closer
together.
- Family members are encouraged to join the Auxiliary which meets
on the first Friday evening of the month at 8pm at the Band Centre,
Wickfield Circuit, Ambarvale.
