A Day in Venice

After another late night we arose early for our trip to Venice. It was all a bit too much for Andrew who was found calling for “Ralph” on the bus trip. We eventually made it to the wharf and boarded the boat for the short journey to Venice.

Once arriving we headed for St Marc’s Square and then on to tackle the labyrinth of alleys and canals. We eventually made it to the Grande Canal and the Rialto Bridge. We haggled with a couple of gondoliers before boarding a gondola to see the canals from a different perspective and experience the wonderful aroma that is associated with them.

After a bit more souvenir shopping we headed back to the wharf to board the boat back to the bus and continue on the lengthy 4hr return trip to our evening dinner and performance. It was another long and exhausting day and once again we headed back to our hosts for a couple of hours shut eye before starting again.
