Day 5 - Sun 1st July by Paul and Lachlan

NEWS FLASH!

Coming to you live from the city of Besana, this is your host Mario Spaghetti with the 6:00pm evening news!

Hello everyone, I’m Mario Spaghetti. Our top stories tonight - Besana Drive, renamed ‘Hot Woman Road’ due to public demand and people of Besana to be issued with free sunglasses due to brightness of paramedics pants!

But right now we cross live to the streets with our roving reporter, Luigi Ferrari!

Mario Spaghetti - Luigi are you there?
Luigi Ferrari - So girls, your place or mine?
M.S. - Luigi, Luigi, come in!
L.F. - Oh, oh, yes, must have been a crossed line.
M.S. - Luigi, you’re on the streets of the Grand Parade, what’s the feeling out there?
L.F. - The atmosphere here is very exciting. Bands are playing, people are cheering - it’s a wonderful time to be in Besana.
M.S. - With bands from all over the world in Besana, there must be a great spirit of harmony between them.
L.F. - Yes! Yes! So much so, in fact, many bands-people are being overcome by the moment as we speak. It must be the pride they have in their country, their band and their uniform that causes them to fall over...
M.S. - Do you think that the heavy uniforms and excessive heat have anything to do with the collapse of people?
L.F. - No! No! It is their pride and happiness at this time that has overwhelmed them. Look, I will interview this New Zealander who is lying on he ground.
Hello! How are you feeling?
New Zealander - Water bro! Must have water. Aye girl....please. I’ll be your bist frund!
L.F. - So are you savouring this wonderful moment?
New Zealander - What are you bro, some kind of sicko?.... (he faints)
L.F. - As you can see Mario, everyone is having a great time...including this British Marine.
Marine - (staggering about wildly) Must...continue...for the...glory...of the...Queen (falls over)
L.F. - Oh Mario, I am so proud to be a....a....(collapses)
Camera Man - Mamma Mia!....Ummm. This is camera-man Alberto signing off from Besana....
M.S. - Thankyou. And join us tomorrow for an interview with an anti-pornography campaigner from the Vatican. But coming up next...our movie length premiere: ‘How Big Are Your Melons?’
