Day 4 - Sat 30th June by Laura E. and Jo

After a morning of sightseeing we were given lunch in a park opposite the town square. The lunch consisted of voluminous amounts of Italian food. On the side of the hill a prestigious game of soccer was held between the British and the almighty ANZACs.

It was a bitter war to the end, no man (or the two women, - that was Jo & Laura) who dared to fight, came out alive. The British ran down the hill, the almighty ANZACs once again had to fight gravity. It was Gallipoli all over again... well minor historical discrepancies. The British Marines came towards us in perfect formation. Us ANZACs swarmed the field. The shirtless & sunburnt British performed a well rehearsed fight which cost us the game. Upon their victory they left the field saying, "well done chaps", whilst the ANZACs, not admitting

defeat, huddled & reminisced of the glory. We then saluted & cried ANZAC!’ During the war, Australia, NZ and Britain barracked for their respective teams.

The day in the park ended with a game of cricket or softball, or baseball, or well who really knows?
