Day 1 - Wed 27th June by Mark and David G

The band flew out
to travel about
and play music wherever they went.
Well almost everywhere.

Highlights: 6 hours at Singapore.

Travellator races

The first race was a fierce competition between Paul & Lachlan on the same track, which was going in the opposite direction to which they were running.

Judges for this event were Joanne Hagedoorn & David Griffin.

The second race took this mind-boggling concept even further by using both sides on the travellator. This time, the ever athletic Paul Waterhouse competed again, this time against the mighty David Griffin.

Each contestant was required to go up & down the same travellator (tagging Lachlan at the other end inbetween laps) & thus running with the travellator for one lap & against it for the other. (One started off running with it, the other against, then switching for 2nd lap). Joanne Hagedoorn again provided the necessary judging expertise for the event.

The photo for the day is one of a Lions rugby union team supporter to which Paul jeered on with the remark "Go the Wallabies!" This short little man then turned around with a most serious expression indeed. He began to take a few steps forward before Paul threw his arms up "Hang on a minute, what have we got here?!" The deathly serious short little man stared in our direction for a short while before departing.

Also of note was our self-guided tour of Terminal One which took us beyond the subway and to the totally deserted and darkened realms of Gate C25.
